It’s a fascinating piece of history, well-told … and I didn’t want to like it, because I find Bill O’Reilly to be perhaps the most smug, self-important, cringe-inducing egotist on the planet. But he reads this material like a pro, the story flies on wings, and O’Reilly’s ego never gets in the way. “Killing Lincoln” is aimed at history buffs, students of war tactics and conspiracy theorists. Anyone bored by those topics need not apply. But even if you don’t care for O’Reilly, that won’t affect your enjoyment of this audio book one iota. It’s a fun ride.
